Better Together

What is Better Together?

Better Together explores the meaning of resilience and the role of emergency management, and helps individuals develop personal skills and connections to navigate emergency situations.

The program consists of three workshops and features a mosaic of interactive exercises, group discussions, guest speakers, and activities aimed at developing a mindset of resilience in the context of a variety of hazards. Participants who complete the workshop series will be better equipped to build resilience in their communities and increase capacity to help protect themselves, their family, and their neighbors during any emergency.

How to get involved?

Registration for our October session has closed. Check back for our next course offering.

To register for our next series of workshops, please click the 'Apply' tab below. If you're interested in participating in Better Together, but can't make the next offering, click the 'Future Workshops' tab below and submit the forum to be notified when we start enrolling for a future series.

Please note that each section is limited to a maximum of 25 participants. The first 25 people with desired availability (i.e. are available to attend all three classes) and thoughtful responses will be accepted.

This workshop series was developed by the City of Boulder's Resilient Boulder initiative in collaboration with Boulder County, BoCo Strong, Boulder Office of Emergency Management, Boulder Fire Rescue, Boulder Police Department, and the Wellington Region Office of Emergency Management. Finally, the graduates of our pilot Better Together series played an invaluable role in shaping the program.
